Today, Haystax was updated to version 3.14.0. This update enhanced the notification features in the system, modified the notifications template, enhanced PCII visibility, added the ability to modify asset catalog navigation in the system, and implemented four bug fixes.
A new notifications framework was put into effect. While this has no immediate visible changes to the user interface, it provides the structure for enhanced notifications moving forward. Unrelated to the framework, minor adjustments were also made to the template used for email notifications.
Version 3.14 also updated what users with access to protected critical infrastructure information (PCII) will see. PCII data can now be found on the asset list, making it easier to locate and work with PCII data. While this applies to only a subset of users, if you believe you need access or would like to talk about adding PCII data to your Cal COP system, please reach out to your local administrator or your Secure Passage point of contact.
Haystax is now more customizable in its display of asset catalog data. The system can now be changed to list the types of assets in the main menu on the left-hand side of the screen. These types are currently accessed via a dropdown filter on the asset list page. To get to the list of assets of a certain type, users need to open the assets app and apply the filter for type. This update enables a Haystax customer to list those types in the left-hand menu to allow for quicker access. When a user clicks on the type in the left-hand menu, they will be taken into the assets app with only that type of asset displayed. Other filters still remain available within the assets app can can be applied. This is a change that must be requested and pushed out for an entire site. It is not available for an individual user but would apply to all users in a specific tenant – all users in the San Francisco Bay Area site, for example. This option is useful for those tenants that are working heavily with assets. It was developed (for a customer outside of California) to facilitate statewide usage of the system for school data.
